... and Mary and Her Little Lamb Walkabout finger puppets!

The walkabout finger puppets are knit in the round on size US 8 double-pointed needles with wool yarn, then felted in your washing machine ... and the best part? They are all knit in one piece! The only sewing involved is to sew the holes closed after stuffing. The legs are hollow so you can slip your fingers inside and make the dolls walk, run, jump and play! The hair and simple embroidery stitches for details are added after felting.

My new Gingerbread Man design, available in the book, has hollow legs, instead of finger pockets like my original design, available below for instant download. Of course, I like both designs!

Knitted/Felted Gingerbread Man

You won't need a cookie sheet to make up a batch of these festive fellows! The 8-page Gingerbread Man pattern comes with complete directions for knitting, felting and icing (with embroidery stitches, of course)! Add the optional finger pockets on the back of his legs to make a great finger puppet ... then YOU can make him run as fast as he can! The project uses two sets of double-pointed needles to knit one gingerbread man ... choose two sets of size US 8 for the smaller version that is about 5 inches tall by 4 inches wide; or use two sets of size US 10 1/2 double-pointed needles to make a slightly larger version that's about 6 inches tall by 5 inches wide. $2.50
