Festive Knitted/Felted Garland This fun chain garland is knit completely in the round and, as each link is knit within the one before it, there are no pesky seams to finish and nothing to pull apart! After knitting, simply felt it in your washing machine for a fun, sturdy garland. Make it as long or as short as you like. Join the ends for a complete circle. Shown in two sizes, the 2-inch rings are made from worsted-weight wool yarn and knit on size US 8 double-pointed needles. The small links are made with lace-weight yarn held together with a sparkle yarn like Gold Rush and knit on size US 2 double-pointed needles. Use red and green yarn for Christmas colors; multi-colored yarns for other holiday celebrations ... use the smaller chain garland for a stylish long necklace! FREE!
Spring (Easter, May Day)
Try the Entrelac Easter Egg experiment! Have you ever wanted to learn the entrelac technique in the round, but didn't want to tackle a huge project? Did you ever wonder how to decrease in entrelac? Then this free pattern is for you! There are directions for finishing the top in two ways: With live stitches to continue on in stockinette for a closed top; and with a bound-off, open top.
