I promise I won't bother your bird feeders!

Elephant Pattern

The 8-page elephant pattern has directions to knit with one strand of wool yarn. I almost ran out, though, as the ears take up quite a lot of yarn! I'd recommend buying two skeins of a 220-yard wool yarn for this project. I've assumed she's a "she" as she doesn't have tusks! Here, she has blue glass eyes with pupils and a felt mouth, but you could use black, shoe-button glass eyes or embroider her eyes if you'd prefer.. Her limbs are string jointed with waxed thread. $5

Lion Pattern

Lion's mane and tail are knit with one strand of wool yarn held together with one strand of wool. His body and legs are knit with wool. He has amber glass eyes with pupils and is string jointed with waxed thread. His nose and mouth are embroidered. You may purchase the pattern here for $5

White Sheep Pattern

White Sheep gets a great coat by knitting his body with one strand of wool held together with one strand of textured yarn. I've used Sirdar's Snuggly Bubbly, but you could substitute eyelash yarn for a furry sheep, instead. The 8-page pattern comes with all directions for knitting, felting and assembling. $5

Blue Jay Bird Pattern

This is a great project to try if you'd like to  experiment with all kinds of fiber media. The blue jay's body is first knitted in the round, then felted. Wool roving is then needle felted over the body form and finally his wings, tail feathers and beak are wet felted. You could substitute purchased felt for these pieces, instead; however. The 8-page pattern gives all instructions for knitting, felting, wet felting and needle felting. $5
